Imagine yourself in a world where humans interact with computers. You are sitting in front of your personal computer that can listen, talk, or even scream aloud. It has the ability to gather information about you and interact with you through special techniques like facial recognition, speech recognition, etc. It can even understand your emotions at the touch of the mouse. It verifies your identity, feels your presence, and starts interacting with you .You ask the computer to dial to your home urgently. It realizes the urgency of the situation through the mouse, dials your mother at home, and establishes a connection.
Human cognition depends on highly developed abilities to perceive, integrate, and interpret visual, auditory, and touch information. Without any doubt, computers would be much more powerful if they had even a small fraction of the perceptual ability of animals or humans. These are to be brought in a computer through the help of small systems built for each function. Researchers are attempting to add more capabilities to computers that will allow them to interact like humans, recognize human presents, talk, listen, or even guess their feelings.
What Is Blue Eyes Technology?
Aims at creating computational machines that have perceptual
and sensory ability. Use camera and microphone to identify user actions and
emotions Blue Eyes – Bluetooth technology and the movements of the eyes.
Bluetooth provides reliable wireless communication. As the eye movements enable
us to obtain a lot of Interesting and important information. This required
designing a Personal Area Network linking all the operators and the Supervising
system.
For example, a Blue Eyes-enabled television
could become active when the user makes eye contact, at point the user could
then tell the television to "turn on".
WHY BLUE EYES?
Human error is still one of the most frequent causes of all
artificial disasters. Today human contribution to the overall performance of
the system is left unsupervised. Since the system is made to perform
automatically, an operator becomes a passive observer of the supervised system,
which causes drop to awareness. It therefore is crucial to assure that the
operator’s conscious brain is involved in an active system which will supervise
over the whole work time period. It is possible to measure indirectly the level
of the operator’s conscious brain involvement using eye movement analysis. In
large control rooms, wiring the operator to the central system is a serious
limitation of his mobility and disables his operation. The wireless link
between the sensors worn by the operator and the supervising system offers new
way to system overall reliability and safety

and its basic structures
The BLUE EYES technology aims at creating computational machines that
have perceptual and sensory ability like those of human beings. It uses
non-obtrusige sensing method, employing most modern video cameras and
microphones to identify the user`s actions through the use of imparted sensory
abilities. The machine can understand what a user wants, where he is looking
at, and even realize his physical or emotional states.
The process
of making emotional computers with sensing abilities is known as Affective
Computing. The steps used in this are:

properly and appropriately.
Giving sensing abilities
Machines
are provided with the equivalent of the eyes, ears, and other sensory organs
that humans use to recognize and express emotion. To that end, a variety of
mechanisms are being explored including voice-recognition
software that can discern not only what is being said but the tone in which
it is said; high resolution cameras that
can track subtle facial expressions, eye movements, and hand gestures; and biometric sensors that can measure body
temperature, blood pressure, muscle tension, and other physiological signals
associated with emotion.
Detecting human emotions
The computers have to detect even the minor variations of our
moods. Say a person may hit the keyboard swiftly or fast either in the happy
mood or in the angry mood. In the third step the computers have to react in
accordance with the emotional states. This is done with the help of intelligent
input devices like Emotion Mouse (to
track emotions of user) through which the computer takes the inputs. Artificial Intelligent Speech Recognition and
Simple User Interest Tracker (SUITOR)
are used to know, understand and interpret the speech and interest of the user
at that instance of time.

1) CSU (Central System Unit): For wireless network connection, CSU
is the next main important thing in the Blue Eyes technology. The CSU mostly
consists of voice information transmission and a wireless Bluetooth device.
This CSU is connected to a computer using USB wire, parallel and serial cable
wire. The socket named mini jack is used for accessing the audio data. The program
that contains the operators personal ID is communicating to the personal
computer through the serial and power ports. Central System Unit hardware is
the second peer of the wireless connection. The box contains a Bluetooth module
(based on ROK101008) and a PCM codec for voice data transmission. The module is
interfaced to a PC using a parallel, serial and USB cable. The audio data is
accessible through standard mini-jack sockets to program operator's personal ID
cards we developed a simple programming device. The programmer is interfaced to
a PC using serial and PS/2 (power source) ports. Inside, there is Atmel 89C2051
microcontroller, which handles UART transmission and I2C EEPROM (ID card)
programming. CSU – Component are:

perform low-level blue tooth communication
· Data analysis Module – performs the
analysis of the raw sensor data
· Data logger Module – provides
support for storing the monitored data.

Instead of using cumbersome modules to gather information about the user, it will be better to use smaller and less intrusive units.
